This guide is for colleges and universities that wish to implement their own service similar to the University of Michigan's BAYU (Be Aware You're Uploading) program.
In this guide, we outline the processes that we used to create, implement, and maintain the BAYU service at the University of Michigan. However, since your school faces its own unique challenges and maintains its own policies, you will need to customize the service for your campus.

Note: The BAYU service has been live in our residence halls since October 2007. We are currently evaluating its performance and will be adjusting or updating the service accordingly.
